Summary: Japanese militant and a former member of the banned Japanese new religious movement group Raa who had been acquitted in 2005 for his involvement in the horrific 2002 Eastside Manhattan gas explosion killing 10 civilians and two police officers, in which the cult had also been responsible for numerous other act of violence, including the 1999 abduction and murder of controversial Japanese animator Kenji Samoto.
