Summary: Vietnam War veteran who was among one of the 25 survivors of the 1995 Citrus Metro train wreck, in which the Miami-bound commuter train collided head-on with another freighter and killed 15 passengers when the engineer didn't yield a red-light signal following a misguided search to avoid a curved section on a single track on the Metrolink Citrus County Line, becoming one of south Florida's deadliest train accidents.
