Summary: Serbian paramilitary leader whose followers known as the Tigers had allegedly murdered hundreds of Bosnian Croats in a 1992 attempt to ethnically cleanse northern and eastern Bosnia of the Croats minority, where he had also led his Tigers in the bloody 1991 siege of Vukovar, Croatia and was allied with Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic, but was indicted in 1997 by the war crimes tribunal on charges of crimes against humanity.
