Summary: last surviving Turkish veteran of World War I who joined the army of the Ottoman Empire in 1915 but was later taken prisoner by the British in the Baghdad campaign's Second Battle of Kut in 1917, and who also served in the forces of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in the Turkish War of Independence from 1919 to 1922, but it was unclear when he was freed.
