Summary: Brazilian psychologist and wife of prominent Brazilian plastic surgeon and Porto Alegre Hospital's Skin Bank director Dr. Roberto Correa Chem who along with her husband and their adult daughter Letitia Chem were among one of more than 228 passengers and crew members reported missing and presumed dead aboard on the ill-fated Air France Flight 447 passenger jet that mysteriously disappeared off the radar when the missing Airbus A330 jetliner had suddenly lost contact with air traffic controlling agencies about four-and-a-half hours after departing on an overnight flight from Rio de Janeiro's Galeao International Airport and later crashed into the Atlantic Ocean during a violent tropical thunderstorm and severe turbulence off the northeastern Brazilian coast earlier in June 2009, in which the initial investigation conducted by the French government agency Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA) was hampered because the aircraft's black boxes were not yet recovered from the ocean floor at the time while the Brazilian Navy personnel removed the first major wreckage and two bodies from the sea within five days of the accident.
