Summary: vaccine researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland who made headline news all over the world earlier this year when she gave birth to a baby girl thru a Cesarean section while brain dead on a life support machine following a stroke she had suffered in May 2005 as a consequence of her lifelong battle with terminal skin cancer after she had become pregnant for the second time but was urged by family members to keep her alive in order to save her unborn child by premature delivery before the cancer had spread to her uterus despite the medical prognosis, in which it became one of the first and only prenatal birth cases in medical history where about dozen women worldwide have given birth while on life support since 1979.
