Summary: engineer and plastics company owner who had remained hospitalized in critical condition but never regained any consciousness for seven years from serious head wounds suffered in the 2002 Matza restaurant suicide bombing incident that killed 15 patrons including his 17-year-old daughter Adi Shiran and seriously wounded over 40 others as a Hamas militant detonated his bomb inside the popular family restaurant of the gas station near the Grand Canyon shopping mall, in which it became the second-deadliest terrorist attacks in one week following the 2002 Passover suicide bombing during a series of Second Intifada violence.
