Summary: Irish housewife who with her late husband Sean (d. 1999) was caught in an international controversy that led to a 1957 sectarian boycott in a bitter dispute over how their children were to be education, who as a Protestant left her Catholic husband, her home, and the country after being told by the local parish priest that she must send her two young daughters to a local Catholic school, in which the issue led to what became known as the Fethard Boycott and later was the subject of the 1999 film A Love Divided.
