Summary: keyboard player and founding member of Pink Floyd who along with singer, songwriter, and guitarist Syd Barrett, guitarist Roger Waters, and drummer Nick Mason founded the band in the 1960's when they were students and later became one of the biggest names in rock, who co-wrote five songs on 1973's Dark Side of the Moon, which spent 14 years on the Billboard 200 album chart and is one of the best-selling album ever, and who left Pink Floyd after falling out with Waters during recording sessions for 1979's The Wall but rejoined the band in 1987.
