Summary: professional football player who helped the Pittsburgh Steelers win four Super Bowl titles in his first six NFL seasons and was an undersized (225 lbs), but tough center when he was selected by the Steelers in the fifth round of the 1974 draft-one of four future hall of famers drafted by the team that day, who played from 1974 to 1988 with Pittsburgh and his final two seasons with Kansas City before he sustained serious head injuries during his career that led to brain damage that wasn't diagnosed until 1999, whose condition tragically led to bouts with drug addiction and homelessness after he retired, who was a member of the All-Time NFL team selected in 2000 and inducted into Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1997.
