blacksmith and member of the American Ferrier Association who was among one of the 20 known fatalities reportedly killed in the devastating 2007 Groundhog Day tornado outbreak that struck across Central Florida and injured more than 100 others including his 16-year-old son Aaron Sluss when several tornadoes ripped through the area, causing structural damage and destroyed over thousands of homes in rural northeast Lake County, Florida during its existence, in which the outbreak was the second-deadliest on record in Florida history behind one that killed 42 people in February 1998.
