Summary: granddaughter of former Notre Dame University football coach Ara Parseghian whose family had established the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation in 1994 to raise millions of dollars to pay for medical research on the treatment and cure of the rare genetic disorder Niemann-Pick disease (Type C) that also claimed the lives of her two siblings and who became the longest surviving of three siblings all diagnosed with the fatal neurodegenerative disease.
