Lucille Ryman Carroll
Summary: head of MGM's talent department from 1941 to 1954 who helped give big breaks to Marilyn Monroe (and became good friends), Lana Turner, June Allyson and Janet Leigh, and was one of the few women to reach a position of executive power during the Hollywood studio system, and whose brother was Disney art figure Herbert Ryman.
