Summary: Dutch would-be assassin who drove his car at high speed into a crowd parade that included Queen Beatrix and other members of the Dutch royal family, killing six bystanders and seriously injuring 10 others during the annual Queen's Day celebration on April 30, 2009 before he crashed his vehicle into a monument at the roadside in a failed attempt to reach the royal family's open-topped bus, then was taken to a hospital, in which no members of the royal family were injured and this incident was the first attack on the Dutch monarchy in modern times.
