Summary: Dominican immigrant who had recently escaped death in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack when two jet airliners slammed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center building, where she had worked as a waitress at a restaurant on the ground floor before the complex had collapsed to the ground and resulted in more than 3,000 deaths at the time of the tragic incident, in which it became one of the worst domestic terrorist attacks in U.S. history.
