Kamara Vainga of Tewor District in Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia who later returned to her homeland and worked for over a decade as a humanitarian aid worker for Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in Liberia and then in the United States before joining the Human Resources Department in MSF's New York office in 1999 to recruit volunteers for the field.
