Harry W. Albright, Jr.
of the New York State Banking Department in the early 1970's who
championed the needs of consumers and was considered as a protege of
Gov. Nelson A. Rockefeller (and his close aide), but who had warned all
state-chartered lending institutions to stop discriminating against
women in granting loans in 1973.
