Summary: Finnish travel office manager for the scuba-diving program at the Similan Islands National Park marine reserve in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Phang Nga Province in southern Thailand who had been hospitalized in critical condition after he was seriously injured in the devastating South Asian earthquake and tsunami that swept across the Indian Ocean and killed over 230,000 people during the tidal wave while he was spending a holiday with his kids in Thailand in December 2004 when the Asian ocean tsunami struck and took the lives of his three children, but who survived the waves and was flown to Finland.
