Summary:
Israeli Arab taxi driver who was among one of the 34 known fatalities reportedly killed in the deadly October 2004 Sinai bombings that also left at least more than 100 other people injured in the powerful blast including his 7-year-old son Yusuf al-Hafi when three simultaneous bomb attacks targeting tourist hotels in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula was caused by a car bomb containing an estimated 250-300 kg of explosives which exploded at the entrance of the Hilton Hotel in the Red Sea resort town of Taba, Egypt near the Israeli border causing the collapse of part of the hotel after the vehicle rammed the hotel and another suicide bomber detonated a separate bomb in a campsite at the Ras a-Shitan beach, in which the bombings is the first major terrorist attack in Egypt since the 1997 Luxor massacre in which 58 tourists were shot or hacked to death by Islamist militants.
