Summary: U.S. Army soldier and recipient of the Medal of Honor for his military service during the Vietnam War who suffered a severe spinal injury in combat that left him a paraplegic but did bookkeeping for his brother-in-law's guitar-string company, fished on the South Shore of Long Island, and helped to compile a 2-volume history, Medal of Honor Recipients, 1863-1994, after the war.
