Summary:
Georgia death row inmate who along with his co-defendant Carl Isaacs (executed in 2003) and two other accomplices were convicted and sentenced to death for the infamous 1973 shooting murders of six members of the Alday family in rural Donalsonville, Georgia after the trio had escaped from a Maryland prison at the time of the crime spree that culminated in one of the second largest mass murder in Georgia history since the Woolfolk murders in 1887, whose convictions were overturned on appeal in 1985 on the grounds that pre-trial publicity had prejudiced the fairness of their Seminole County trial but who was resentenced to life imprisonment with the possibility of parole.
