Summary: businessman and insurance broker specializing in aviation insurance policies who had been reported missing and presumed dead since Dec. 18, 2005 following a small airplane accident when his private Cessna 195 single-engine plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the northeast coast of Vilano Beach near St. Augustine, Florida shortly after takeoff from a Jacksonville airport while he was flying his teenage daughter Hannah Tillman and two of her friends to the Bahamas for a vacation over the Christmas weekend break, in which the accident also killed a third passenger 16-year-old Anna Kipp but another teenager escaped the wreckage and was rescued from the water as the U.S. Coast Guard rescue team searched the frigid ocean for survivors of a plane crash.
