Summary:
Chinese accountant at the Luxun Fine Arts College in Shenyang City, China who was reportedly sent to the Longshan Forced Labor Camp in July 2003 after enduring the Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution for practicing Falun Gong (a self-cultivation practice based on the principal of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) and became known to many as the innocent woman whose face was disfigured with electric batons by the Chinese police for over seven hours simply because she persisted in her belief, who was confined to a heavily-guarded hospital ward for almost five months following the electro-shock torture until she was rescued by a group of Falun Gong practitioners in October 2004 but was rearrested again in March 2005 and remained in police custody.
