Summary: victims' rights advocate whose 18-year-old daughter Faith Hathaway was kidnapped, raped and murdered in 1980 by one of the two men mentioned in the book Dead Man Walking that was later made into a 1995 feature film starring Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon, but the investigators who found Hathaway's body wrote a book Victims of Dead Man Walking, which was published five years ago and it was a response to the book's author Sister Helen Prejean when she challenged the fairness and morality of the death penalty describing the two men Robert Lee Willie and Elmo Patrick Sonnier who were both executed in Louisiana in 1984, and who with her late husband Vernon Dale Harvey traveled around the world to talk about the victims rights and to support execution of people convicted of murder.
