Dr. Rodger Haggitt
Summary: renowned gastrointestinal pathologist and professor of pathology at the University of Washington in Seattle who had also served as director of anatomic pathology from 1984 until 2000 and was one of the most highly respected pathologists in the country (and in the world), whose knowledge of surgical pathology and diagnostic accuracy became legendary after he joined UW to develop a program in gastrointestinal pathology that had a close interaction with clinical and research work conducted in the Division of Gastroenterology of the Department of Medicine.
