Dr. Clifton O. Dummett, Jr.
Summary: distinguished pedodontist and professor emeritus of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana who was the coordinator of dental research at Children's Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio and also served as the director of Pediatric Dentistry Services at Charles R. Drew Neighborhood Health Center from 1971 until 1974 before he joined the faculty of the LSU School of Dentistry serving as department head from 2000 until his retirement in 2006, who was sought after by many national and international dental associations and societies to lecture both overseas and at many American dental meetings, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Association of Dental Schools, American Society of Dentistry for Children, the New Orleans Chapter of the American Association for Dental Research, Louisiana Dental Association, New Orleans Dental Association, and Louisiana Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
