Summary: Portuguese off-duty parachutist with the United Nations peacekeeping mission that was part of the 2nd Airborne Infantry Battalion military contingent serving in the former Portuguese colony of East Timor since July 2002 who was believed to have been the only known Portuguese national reported missing and presumed dead in the October 12 Bali nightclub bombings that killed 180 people and injured more than 200 others including two Portuguese tourists in one of the worst deadliest terrorist attacks in Indonesian history.
