Charles Edward Jones
Summary: retired U.S. Air Force officer and astronautical engineer who was one of the passengers aboard on the hijacked American Airlines Flight 11 that crashed into the World Trade Center, who had entered the USAF Manned Spaceflight Engineer Program in 1982 and was scheduled to fly on a mission STS-71-B to assist the deployment of two Department of Defense payloads in December 1986, but the mission was cancelled after the Challenger Disaster in January 1986.
