Summary:
South Korean boxer who won the bronze medal in the bantamweight category at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, Mexico and was also a two-time gold medalist at the Asian Amateur Boxing Championships, who boxed as an amateur for two more years and then turned professional in 1970 capturing the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation's Super Bantamweight title in 1971, but who maintained his belt until 1974 when he was defeated by his countryman Yum Dong-kyun (who later became a World Boxing Council Super Bantamweight champion) and retired later that year.
