Summary:
Turkish English teacher who was hospitalized in critical condition for nearly a week from severe burns suffered up to over 90 percent of her body in the Sharm El Sheikh bombings during a series of terrorist attacks perpetrated by an extremist Islamist organization on July 23, 2005 in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El Sheikh on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, in which a total of about 90 people were killed as a result of the attacks including her husband Bilgehan Yalcin and over 200 others were injured, making the attack the deadliest terrorist action in Egypt's history since the 1997 Luxor massacre that killed 58 foreign tourists.
