Swedish pensioner who was among one of only 137 known survivors of the 1994 MS Estonia ferry disaster when a Stockholm-bound cruise ferry sank on September 28, 1994 in stormy weather in the Baltic Sea resulting in the loss of 852 passengers and crew members on board including his wife Marianna Roos in one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century, in which it became the deadliest European shipwreck disaster to have occurred in peacetime.




Cause of Death: Drowned after being struck by a tsunami
