Summary: infant daughter of distinguished Iraq War veteran and former Australian Army corporal Darrin Gibson who had been hospitalized on life support in critical condition from severe burn injuries suffered in a series of bushfires that ignited or were burning across the Australian state of Victoria on February 7, 2009 killing at least 170 people including her mother Lesley Leahy and two other siblings Kiona (aged 4) and Jye (aged 3) and also seriously injured more than 400 others when the blaze hit their Kinglake West home during extreme weather conditions, in which it became one of the worst bushfire disasters ever recorded in Australian history that has become widely referred to as Black Saturday.
