Summary: Israeli soldier and graduate student of the Migdalim IDF Preparatory School in central Israel who was hospitalized in critical condition for nine months from serious wounds to the head and chest suffered in a Jan. 7, 2005 terrorist shooting attack that killed Staff Sergeant Yosef Atiya and wounded three fellow off-duty IDF soldiers when Palestinian gunmen opened fire on their car on the Trans-Samaria Highway near the West Bank settlement of Migdalim between Shechem and the Jordan Valley while he and his three friends were on their way to spend Shabbat in the Ma'aleh Efraim industrial zone at a pre-military training academy they had attended before being drafted, in which the Fatah's al-Aqsa military wing al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
