Lebanese-Canadian pharmacist and franchise owner of the Jean Coutu Pharmacy in Montreal, Canada who was reportedly hospitalized in very serious condition from severe wounds he received in a July 16 bomb attack caused by an Israeli missile that killed seven other Canadian citizens including his 24-year-old wife Amira Al-Akhrass and their four children Saya (8), Zeinab (6), Ahmad (4) and Salam (11 months) during the first two weeks of the 2006 Lebanon War involving Hezbollah paramilitary forces while he was on a five-week holiday visiting relatives at their summer home in southern Lebanon.
