Summary:
U.S. Army veteran and civilian contractor with the U.S. defense firm Vinnell Corporation that was supporting the Saudi National Guard military programs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia who had been hospitalized in critical condition for more than two weeks from injuries received in a May 12 suicide bombings at a housing complex in eastern Riyadh, Saudi Arabia that killed at least 26 people including eight other Americans (nine suicide bombers also died) and left dozens more wounded in the blasts, in which the bombings have been attributed to Islamic extremists as part of a campaign against Westerners sparked by the stationing of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia during the 1991 Gulf War with Iraq, but the U.S. and Saudi officials blame the attacks on the al-Qaeda terror network.
