Ada DeBold Deemer
Summary: kidney disease advocate who in 1950 helped to start a group that evolved into the National Kidney Foundation when she and her first husband Harry DeBold started the National Nephrosis Foundation in their home following a meeting with families whose children suffered from the rare kidney disorder after the couple's infant son Robert had nephrosis and died in 1952, but who stayed active in the organization through 1954 in hopes of helping doctors to find a cure for nephrosis.
