Nancy Barbato Sinatra
Summary: first wife of legendary entertainer Frank Sinatra (died in 1998) who was his childhood sweetheart and the mother of his three children after they had been dating as teenagers and married at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic church in Jersey City, New Jersey on Feb. 4, 1939 just as Frank's singing career was about to take off (Frank had landed a 15-minute radio show on local station WAAT in 1936), whom the couple lived in a modest apartment in Jersey City, where their two eldest children were born during the marriage's early years and she was employed as a secretary while her husband worked as a singing waiter before they moved to Los Angeles after Sinatra became a pop-music sensation in the 1940's, where the singer also became a movie star, raconteur, man about town, and notorious womanizer, but who left Frank after his affair with actress Ava Gardner (died 1990) became public knowledge just weeks after the pair's divorce became final in 1951 (Frank married Gardner), who never remarried and raised the couple's three children.
