French police officer and gay rights activist who had been a member of the Paris police force since 2010 and was among one of the officers who responded to a terrorist attack at the Bataclan theatre in Paris which left 130 people dead in November 2015, but who had been interviewed by the BBC when he visited the Bataclan concert hall when it reopened in 2016 and who also joined protests against Russia's ban on "homosexual propaganda" before the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games while he was a member of FLAG, the French association for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender police officers.
