Summary: Peruvian-American middle-distance runner who holds the American indoor record for the 1,000 meters and won three straight USATF Road Mile titles from 2009 to 2011, who won silver medals for the USA at the IAAF World Relay Championships in 2014 and claimed another second-placed finish at the 2015 Pan American Games, and who competed for Peru at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil after he qualified for the finals in the 5000-meter race and finished in 15th place, breaking numerous Peruvian time records along the way.
