Austrian-born actress who became her country's first Golden Globe winner and was married to U.S. actor Tony Curtis (died 2010) in the 1960's, who made her acting debut in 1952 and won a Golden Globe for her 1961 Hollywood debut Town Without Party, where she played alongside Kirk Douglas as a German girl raped by American soldiers, who met and married Curtis in 1963 while filming Taras Bulba and had two daughters before divorcing in 1968, who also wrote health and beauty books later in life and established her own line of cosmetics while continuing to act.
