Spanish retired hotelier who was reportedly hospitalized in critical condition for serious injuries suffered during the August 2017 Barcelona terror attack when a van was driven into a summer crowd of pedestrians in Barcelona's historic Las Rambas district and seriously injured more than 120 other people including her husband Roque Oriol and sister Alicia Suarez after an explosion occurred in the Catalan town of Alcanar that destroyed a building and killed one person before the police shot dead the five suspects in the nearby resort of Cambrils, Spain planning an additional attack, in which it became the deadliest terrorist attack in Spain for more than 13 years since the 2004 Madrid train bombings, but the Spanish police said that two other men had been arrested in connection with the La Rambla attack.
