Selin Celik

Turkish banker and sister of Galatasaray S.K. master swimmer Pelin Celik who had been hospitalized at an intensive care unit after she was heavily wounded in the head from shrapnel injuries received in the deadly Dec. 10, 2016 twin bomb attack by Kurdish militants, which killed 37 police officers and seven civilians outside the Vodafone Arena stadium in Istanbul's Besiktas district when a bomb-laden vehicle ran into riot police following a soccer match between Turkish football clubs Besiktas FC and Bursaspor while a suicide bomber blew himself up at a Macka Park just across from the stadium where she was on a minibus near the scene of the explosion as she was heading to nearby Taksim Square to meet friends, in which the Kurdistan Freedom Falcons (TAK) militant offshoot has claimed responsibility for the attack that also wounded more than 150 other people.
