Summary: Australian artist and former transgender rights activist who was a member of the Transgender Liberation Coalition and was instrumental in introducing legislation for the inclusion of transgender people and their partners into both NSW and Commonwealth anti-discrimination law, who worked with lobbyist Andy Griffin and Greens M.L.C. Ian Cohen and Labor Deputy Premier Andrew Refshauge to reintroduce the Transgender Anti-Discrimination and other Acts Amendment Bill of 1996 when she and Griffin helped draft Cohen's second reading speech which was later used in court in Norrie's case to interpret the amended Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1995 (N.S.W.), and who remained active as a human rights campaigner until 2006 when she decided to focus once more on other passion, including art.
