Lebanese singer known for her warm and ethereal voice with interpretation of classics including songs of Umm Kulthum who began her career in 1973 after taking part in the televised Lebanese talent show Studio El Fann and went on to record her own songs collaborating with many composers and songwriters inlcuding the Rahbani brothers, Ziad Rahbani, Mohammed Madi, Faysal al-Masri, Filimon Wahbe and Nour al-Mallah, among others.
