Summary:
Swiss dentistry student who had remained hospitalized in life-threatening condition for more than two weeks but never regained consciousness from severe burns suffered up to 75 percent of her body in the grisly August 13 stabbing and arson attack in which at least one person died immediately afterwards and five others were seriously wounded after a 27-year-old man stabbed several passengers at random and poured a flammable liquid that caught fire on a crowded Swiss train at the St. Gallen railway station in the town of Salez, Switzerland along its border with Liechtenstein, in which authorities said the incident is not being treated as an act of terrorism and the knifeman also died of his injuries in the hours following the attack but the motive remains unclear.
