Indian army soldier serving in the 19th battalion of the Madras Regiment of the Indian Army who was noted for his brief survival of an avalanche at the Siachen Glacier which claimed around ten lives in February 2016 when he was rescued from 35 feet beneath the snow in -45 Celsius temperature just six days after an avalanche hit an Indian Army post in the high-altitude areas of Siachen glacier at an altitude of 19,600 feet close to the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan, and whose health was critcal but survival news gave a chance to family members to celebrate his news of survival.
