Greek career diplomat who served as the Ambassador of Greece to Brazil when he presented his credentials to Brazilian acting president Michel Temer and became Greece's top diplomat in Brazil in 2016, but who had previously served as Greece's consul general in Rio de Janeiro from 2001 to 2004 and whose decisive role in the evacuation of the Greek Embassy staff under conditions of extreme violence in Tripoli, Libya as well as of thousands of third-country nationals from Libya in the summer of 2014 was a milestone in his diplomatic career during his term as Greece's ambassador to Libya from 2012 to 2016.
