Pakistani pop singer-turned-preacher and entrepreneur who first gained nationwide prominence and international recognition as the lead singer and vocalist for the Pakistani pop and rock band Vital Signs in 1987 with the influential album Vital Signs 1 that topped the Music Channel Charts around the country and included the number-one hit single Dil Dil Pakistan as the commercial success of the band's first album helped develop Pakistan's rock music industry, and who released his debut album Junaid of Vital Signs in 1994, which also quickly became a national hit followed by two critically-acclaimed solo albums but who left his musical career afterwards in 2004 focusing on his religious activities for Islam and reciting Naats on TV and releasing them on CD's since then.
