veteran journalist and co-anchor of PBS's NewsHour with Judy Woodruff who moderated two vice presidential debates in 2004 and 2008 and was a former reporter for the New York Times and the Washington Post before she switched to TV in the 1990's and covered politics and Congress for NBC News, who moved to PBS in 1999 as host of Washington Week and worked for the nightly NewsHour program where she and Woodruff were named co-anchors in 2013, and who wrote the book The Breakthrough: Politics & Race in the Age of Obama.
