Sardinian industrial engineering student at the University of L'Aquila in central Italy who was reportedly hospitalized in very serious condition at an intensive care unit for a week from numerous internal injuries he suffered in the apocalyptic August 24 Central Italy earthquake that killed at least 292 people and injured nearly 400 others including his 16-year-old sister Irene Sanna after he was trapped underneath the rubble for over five hours before being flown to hospital in a helicopter when the 6.2-magnitude quake struck central Italy and devastated the historic village of Amatrice, Italy in an area near the borders of the Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, and Marche regions, in which the seismic aftershocks from the tremor was the worst deadliest earthquake to strike Italy in 30 years since 2009.
